Shelby Calhoun

Christian Academy, 5-10, senior

Why she’s on the team: Averaged 16.8 points and 13.2 rebounds (ranking fifth in the state) for a 24-8 squad that fell to Sacred Heart in the final of the Seventh Region Tournament. She was named the Seventh Region Player of the Year by the Courier Journal and Co-Seventh Region Player of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches. A member of the CAL varsity squad since her seventh-grade year, Calhoun amassed 2,425 points,1,684 rebounds, 597 assists, 582 steals and 300 blocks or her career. She was a second-team All-State pick as a junior and sophomore. 

Future: Signed with Virginia Tech.
